If electric starter does not wor N , use the manual starter.
1. Set the main switch to the ³ ´ position.
2. Set the throttle dial at ³ ´ mar N position.
3. 3 ull the starter handle, and start the engine by pull-
ing it in a breath when you feel the handle heavier.

This portable pump has an outsource cooling system, limit the
duration of dry operation so that it is within the following time pe-
riods.
3 erforming dry operation longer than the speci ¿ ed time period
may cause damage to the engine or pump.
• When idle position: Within 2 minutes
• With throttle dial at
³ ´ mar N position: Within 30 seconds
Closed discharge valves operation after priming Z ater
When the pump is operated with the discharge valve closed, the cooling water tem-
perature becomes high.
When the cooling water temperature reaches
0 ƒ C or more, the thermostat opens
and allows the high temperature cooling water to be released outside through the
pipe connected to the thermostat so that the cooling water temperature can be
controlled. When the cooling water temperature drops below
0 ƒ C, the thermostat
closes to stop cooling water from being released.
