Connect the thus ready-to-use line with the terminal block to
the RS232 port (contact terminals TxD and GND) on the rear
side of the
TLS QuickScout A/D XL
.
Now connect the other end of the RS232 interface cable to the
RS232 input of the playback device.
When doing this, the TxD data line should be connected to the
Rx port (receive port) of the playback device.
To connect a computer to the bi-directional service port, you need a
special RS232-3,5mm plug cable. You can purchase this cable from
TLS as a set with an adapter from USB to RS232.

By using this you can connect a computer with an USB interface with
the RS232 service port of the
TLS QuickScout A/D XL
, to configure
the
TLS QuickScout A/D XL
.
C 4.7 Connecting external buttons
IN 1
Sw LED
The inputs IN1 and IN2 on the backside oft he device are used to
connect external buttons for selecting the input sources at the
TLS
QuickScout A/D XL
. These buttons can be lit up.
You can purchase from TLS external table modules with 1 or 2
analogue inputs
(Ident. No.: 863 9576
or
863 9577)
resp. table
modules for connecting 1 or 2 digital HDMI inputs (
Ident. No.

or

). There are also available hybrid analogue-
digital table modules for 2 resp. 4 user (
Ident. No. 8639588

).
These buttons and external table modules are not included in the
delivery pack of
TLS QuickScout A/D XL
.
