To actuate the fastenerer again, you will
need to release the safety bracket fully
before repeating the above procedure.
Switchable trigger
• The tool can be fitted with a switchable trigger.
This allows you to switch between single
sequential fire and bump fire. Depending on the
tool model, this can be done either by:
· pushing the switch button back or forth.
· pushing the switch button outwards and
twisting it.
· pushing the black switch button stud inwards
and displaceing the switch shaft.
Clearing a jammed fastener
• In the case of fastener jam, disconnect the air sup-
ply before you perform any actions. Point the tool
away from yourself or anyone else.
• Release pusher to avoid pressure on the fastener
strip.
• Use a suitable tool eg. a #2 Phillips screw driver to
insert into the drive channel.
• Tap the screw driver with a hammer to push back
the driver blade and release the jam.
• Remove the jammed fastener with needle-nose
pliers or similar type of tool. Do not use your hand
to remove the fastener.
• If you failed to remove the jammed fastener by
above method contact your local TJEP dealer.
Maintenance instructions
General maintenance
• The employer and the operator are responsible
for assuring that the tool is kept in safe working
order. Furthermore, only authorized TJEP service
personnel or TJEP distributors shall repair the
tool and must use parts or accessories that are
supplied or recommended by Kyocera Unimerco
Fastening.
• Keep the tool in clean condition at all times. Wipe
off grease or oil with dry clean cloth to prevent ac-
cidental drop of the tool.
• Use TJEP lubicator in the air plug (H) of the tool at
least twice a day (depending on frequency of use).
• Avoid any use of solvent base cleaner to clean the
tool, as certain solvent will damage or weaken the
composite parts of the tool.
• All screws and nuts should be kept tight and
undamaged. Loose screws may result hazard situ-
ations and cause severe personal injury or parts
breakage.
• It is recommended to use a filter and regulator on
the compressor.
• On a daily basis empty the compressor tanks for
water.
• NEVER use a tool if there is any doubt.
Cold weather
• When operating the tool in temperatures near and
below freezing, the moisture in the air line may
freeze and prevent the tool from operating.
• Remove all fasteners from the magazine.
• Connect the compressor and blank-fire the tool, as
slow speed operation tends to warm up the moving
parts.
Storage
• When not in use for an extended period, apply
a thin coat of lubricant to the steel parts to avoid
rust. Do not store the tool in a cold weather
environment. When not in use, the tool should
be stored in a warm and dry place. Keep out of
childrens reach.
Disposal
• Disposal of the tool must be carried out according
to the instructions given by the local authorities.
