3 Description
3.1 General information
The vaporizer is available in two models. These models differ in how they are connected to
an anaesthesia workstation:

SmartVap D
Mechanical lock and interlock system, compatible with Dräger anaesthesia work-
stations with the Interlock 2 system and the Dräger Plug-in adapter system.

SmartVap S
Mechanical lock and interlock system, compatible with anaesthesia workstations
using the plug-in adapter system and the Selectatec interlock system.
The mechanical lock guarantees correct positioning and secure fixation of the vaporizer
onto the connector panel of the anaesthesia workstation.
In the case of anaesthesia workstations with multiple plug connections on the connector
panel, the interlock system guarantees that when multiple vaporizers are connected, only
one vaporizer can be used at a time to dispense anaesthesia. The other vaporizers are
blocked by the interlock system.
