9 Cleaning
104 SmartVap Vaporizer SW 1.n, Instructions for use (en-US)
The use of other surface disinfectants is at the responsibility of the user.
Many materials are damaged by certain organic solvents that are sometimes used in clean-
ing and disinfecting agents (e.g. phenols, halogen-releasing compounds, strong organic
acids, etc.) Furthermore, aside from their main constituents, cleaning and disinfecting
agents may often contain additives that can damage the materials.
CAUTION Risk of harm to persons and damage to the device from incor-
rect use of cleaning and disinfecting agents
Follow the product information provided by the manufacturer
of the cleaning and disinfecting agents.
Perform the cleaning as described.
CAUTION Risk to persons from contamination of the environment with
volatile anaesthetic.
Do not open the cover flap of the fill opening to avoid inadvert-
ently pressing down manually on the filling valve.
IMPORTANT Damage to the device caused by ingress of liquid
If liquid seeps into the vaporizer, this may cause damage to the de-
vice.
Do not allow any liquid to penetrate the vaporizer.
Only use wipe disinfection to clean the vaporizer.
The vaporizer is not suited for sterilization by autoclaving.
A Ensure that the cover flap (1) of the fill opening is closed to prevent any penetration of
cleaning or disinfecting agents.
