Do not steam ingredients which have a height of 1.34 inch / 3.4 cm or more with a 1.0 L (5.5 cups) type of cooker.
Do not steam ingredients which have a height of 1.46 inch / 3.7 cm or more with a 1.8 L (10 cups) type cooker. If you
do this, ingredients may become watery as they touch the inside of the lid.
z
If you have turned the Slow Cook / Steam lamp OFF by mistake while you want to extend the heating time, follow the below steps.
1) Take out the inner pan and refill it with fresh water.
2) Open the lid of the cooker and leave it for about 10 minutes to cool down the body and inner pan.
3) Set the inner pan again to the cooker.
4) Return to step 4 on page 21.
z
Take out the steamed dish soon after the steam cooking is finished. If you leave the dish on the cooking
plate with the Keep Warm lamp ON, the dish may become sticky.

The times shown above are a guide and can vary depending on the temperature, texture, and amount of ingredients.
z
When you add steaming time, make sure there is enough water available for steaming. Add some water to avoid dry boiling.
z
If ingredients are not steamed thoroughly, add steaming time and check again later.
z
If meat and fish are steamed too long, they will become hard. If short-time steaming does not work well, cut the pieces thinner before steaming.
z
Be sure to wrap fish and the like with foil before steaming. Failure to do so may result in boil-over.
