ASSEMBLY

NOTE:

Soldering may be necessary in the assembly procedures.

NOTE:

Observe proper ESD handling and storage procedures for PCB assemblies
after removing top cover. ESD Discharges may damage PCB assemblies.

NOTE:

TIA recommends after any disassembly and reassembly of the Wavejet
Microwave Oven, a complete functional test be performed on the microwave
oven. Refer to the Testing and Troubleshooting section of this manual.

1. Microwave Oven Installation (P/N 400-1338-02, P/N 400-1409-02, P/N 400-1746-02,

P/N 400-1860-01)

A.

Insert microwave into galley.

B.

Slide microwave backward to engage microwave oven to mounting bracket.

C.

If used, install four (4) mounting screws to secure the bottom of the
microwave to the mounting surface. Four nutplates are provided in the
bottom plate for this purpose.

D.

Open door. Use mounting screws in four places to secure the lower facia bar
to mounting surface. Slide handle (360) into position and insert screw (385).

NOTE:

Load microwave with food or water before testing.

E.

Turn on power to microwave.

1A. Microwave Oven Installation (P/N 400-1409-02-L-N, 400-1409-02-R-N)

A.

Refer to galley or aircraft manufacturer instructions for installation.

2.

Controller Card Assembly (IPL, Figure 1001 and 1002)

A.

Connect electrical connections.

B.

Using screws (45), flatwashers (50), and lockwashers (55) in four places,
attach controller (40).
