7. Door Gasket Removal (IPL, Figure 1001, 1002, and 1003)

Open door (95).

Grasp door gasket (20) section and peel away from the inside of the door.

C. Thoroughly clean the door gasket adhesive residue off of the door weldment (10)

with isopropyl alcohol.

8. Door Interlock Switch (IPL, Figure 1001 and 1002)

Interlock Switch (Pushbutton)

Remove screws (200) in 24 places to remove outer wrap (195).

B. Remove nuts (515), flatwashers (505, 510) (2 sets) and screws (500) in two places

attaching microswitch (490) and roller microswitch (495) to switch mounting
bracket (475).

Remove microswitch (490).

Disconnect wiring.

Door Interlock Switch (Top)

Remove screws (200) in 24 places to remove outer wrap (195).

B. Remove flatwashers (550) and locknuts (555) in two places to release the top

mounting bracket (530).

Disconnect wiring and retain hardware.

Remove bumper (525) from microswitch (520).

E. Remove screws (535) and locknuts (540, 550) in two places to release the

microswitch (520) from the top mounting bracket (530).

Door Interlock Switch (Bottom)

Remove screws (200) in 24 places to remove outer wrap (195).

Turn microwave upside down.
