REPAIR
1. General
NOTE: Observe proper ESD handling and storage procedures for PCB assemblies after
removing top cover. ESD Discharges may damage PCB assemblies.
A. In most cases, repair consists of replacement of damaged parts.
B. If any anodized surfaces need repairs, re-anodize using brush anodyne per normal
shop procedures.
C. Maintenance and Service
1. No scheduled maintenance is required.
2. TIA recommends cleaning the cavities daily. Use a damp cloth to wipe all
areas of the microwave including exterior, interior, and door. A mild soap
may be used if necessary to remove spills or splatters. Dry with a soft cloth.
Care should be taken in cleaning the facia/switch panel.
CAUTION: Do not use any type of abrasive cleaner. Scouring pads are also
unacceptable as they may scratch the precoated metal and
plastic. The only acceptable cleanser is a cloth moistened in
water, and a mild soap.
2.
Lamp Replacement
A.
Remove outer wrap (195) using screws (200) in 24 places.
B.
Remove power supply as directed in Disassembly section, procedure E.
C.
In a case where lamp replacement is necessary, TIA recommends removing
and replacing both lamps. The life expectancy of the lamps is equal. When
one lamp burns out, it is likely that the other is near the end of it’s service life.
3.
Turntable Motor, Shaft Coupler, and Turntable Support
NOTE: The Item Numbers given in this section refer to Figure 1001 and 1002.
