Section 2 — Control Panels
Usually there is always one source tallied on each bus. However, if a source
that is not mapped to a button on the bus is selected (perhaps by an E-MEM
recall of an effect using different button mapping), the entire button row
will be dark. Pressing a button on a dark row will continue to select that
button’s currently mapped source, however.
Hold Buttons
A
Hold
button is located at the right end of each source selector row. The
Hold
buttons are alternate action, either on or off. When on (high tally), the
Hold
button prevents an E-MEM recall from changing the source selection on
that bus. This is called a bus hold. Since each row has its own button, it is
possible to hold some sources and allow other sources on different buses to
follow the E-MEM recall.
Note
Different types of control are available for choosing which sources are
subject to change during a Recall: Source Override (
Pri and Sec Buttons
When the DoubleTake option is activated and an M/E has been split, the
Pri
and
Sec
delegation buttons on that M/E are activated.
Pri and Sec Delegation Buttons
The
Pri
and
Sec
buttons delegate the source selection buses, Transition sub-
panel, and E-MEM subpanel of that M/E to the selected partition. Pressing
one of the
Pri
and
Sec
buttons deselects the other. At least one partition is
always selected on a split M/E.
Delegating Both Partitions
Holding down one of the
Pri
and
Sec
buttons and pressing the other dele-
gates both partitions. When the panel is delegated to both partitions, the
E-MEM and Transition subpanels control both partitions simultaneously.
Also, the button tally indicators in the Transition subpanel and the transi-
tion pattern shape displayed in the M/E Status display reports information
for only the Primary partition.
See the separate Kalypso User Manual for more information about Double-
Take split Mode M/E partitions.
Special Function Buttons
Special function buttons are located next to the
Pri
and
Sec
buttons on each
bank.
The
Router Asgn
special function button located on PGM/PST is used to
assign the Main panel to router source selection. This button becomes
active when an external routing system is configured for this purpose.
