Use this page to designate one PC on your LAN to be exposed to the Internet for use of a special-purpose service

 

(for example - internet games or video conferences)

. DMZ hosting opens all ports of a PC. 

Warning

:

 In the DMZ, the computer becomes exposed and visible directly from the Internet. Because of this, it 

becomes more vulnerable to hackers. (

see the Router/forwarding section on page 24 to open only specific ports on 

your PC

).
