Combustion air feed, including induced venting, is ensured by external coaxial piping which passes either
horizontally through the perimeter wall or vertically through the roof construction into the free space. The piping
needs be installed in a manner which will prevent (due to low combustion product temperature) freezing of the
venting outlet. Vertical piping must be therefore unconditionally terminated in a horizontal roof vent slightly
slanting from the register to the boiler.
A water delivery Grundfos or Wilo pumps ensuring the flow of water through the boiler are inbuilt at the
recuperative water inlet. Sufficient flow of heating water is monitored by a flow switch integrated in the multi-
purpose GRF 3 collector together with the bypass, valve for charging the heating system from the service water
inlet (or potentially from an external connection) and by a discharge valve. The collector is also connected to a
safety valve ensuring the protection of the boiler against over-pressure.
THERM 17 KDZ boilers are additionally fitted with a motoric intercepting valve installed prior to the
heating water outlet from the boiler separating the HSW and heating system heating functions.
The control panel is entirely made of plastic. The control elements are located on the front side (for further
details see the regulations for operation). A single-board DIMS03-TH01 automatics is integrated inside comprising
electronic circuits for the burner ignition and microprocessor control of the boiler's functions.
