Note that the diamond crystal
typically absorbs between 2300 cm

and 2000 cm
-1
.
The sample spectrum shows the change in infrared energy (the background energy has been
removed). This is an example of the type of spectrum you might obtain using the iS50 ATR
module.

Note that absorptions from the diamond crystal appear in the sample spectrum as low level
noise between 2300 cm
-1
and 2000 cm
-1
and may mask or interfere with any sample
absorptions that occur in that region. See the section titled “Typical ATR Sample Spectrum”
