F.3 Installing/Replacing Batteries
The Matrix electronic pipette comes with rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride
(NiMH) batteries or with a Lithium Ion battery for 16 channel models. Under
normal use, the batteries can be recharged approximately 400-500 times.
When they can no longer hold their charge, the batteries must be replaced.
Replacement batteries can be purchased through customer service.
The pipette may also be returned to Thermo Fisher Scientific for battery
replacement.

Note:
When replacing batteries, ensure the pipette is turned off before
removing the battery case.

F.3.1A Installing/Replacing Single Channel Electronic Pipette Batteries
1. Remove screws.
Use a small,
flathead screwdriver to remove
the two screws holding the
top of the pipette (
containing
the display and keypad
) to the
pipette housing. The screws are
located just above the pipetting
trigger (
see Figure F.3.1Aa
).
2. Lift pipette top.
Carefully lift the
top of the pipette to expose the
battery pack.
