Maintenance

3. Disconnect wire connectors.

Pull

apart the two wire connectors over the
battery pack (

see Figure E.3.1Ab

).

4. Remove battery pack.

Pull gently on

the battery wire connector (without the
pins) to dislodge the battery pack, then
lift the battery pack out of the main
housing (

see Figure F.3.1Ac

).

5. Insert new battery pack.

Insert the new battery pack
into the cavity of the main
housing. Ensure that the wire
is looped under the battery
pack and the connector
is above it (

refer to Figure

F.3.1Ac

).

NOTE:

The battery pack fits

very snugly in the main housing;
therefore, ensure that the pack
is oriented as shown in Figure
F.3.1Ac. The connectors for the
battery pack and the pipette
should be on opposite sides.

6. Reconnect wire connectors.

Reconnect the wire
connectors above the battery
pack. Gently push the wires
of the battery pack down until
the wire connectors lay flat
over the top of the battery
pack.
