Checking and replacing the storage cylinder
anode
Proceed as follows to check the condition of the magnesium
anode:
- Remove the front panel (1);
- Close the DHW circuit shut-off cock;
- Connect a plastic hose to the hose union and empty
the storage cylinder through the storage cylinder drain
cock;
- Remove the insulation from the storage cylinder flange;
- Remove the magnesium anode (2) using a suitable box
spanner;
- Check the magnesium anode for wear and replace it if
necessary.

External cleaning
Clean the boiler’s casing panels and control panel with a soft
cloth damped in soapy water.
To remove marks from the boiler casing, use a cloth damped in
a 50% mix of water and denatured alcohol or a suitable clean-
ing product.
Wipe the boiler dry after cleaning it.

Do not use abrasive products, petrol or triethylene.
Extraordinary cleaning
Cleaning the storage cylinder
The storage cylinder should be serviced once a year to check
the condition of the internal parts and the magnesium anode
Perform the following operations before beginning any clean-
ing:
- Remove the front panel (1);
- Close the DHW circuit shut-off cock;
- Connect a plastic hose to the hose union and partly
empty the storage cylinder through the storage cylinder
drain cock;
- Remove the insulation from the storage cylinder flange;
- Pull the sensors out of their sockets;
- Remove the screws (2) fixing the flange (3) in place,
and remove the flange;

- Clean inside the storage cylinder and remove any resi-
dues through the access hole;
- Check the magnesium anode (4) for wear (Replace if
necessary.);
- Check the condition of the sensor holders (5);
- Check the condition of the seal (6).

On completion of cleaning, refit all removed parts in the re-
verse order, taking care to ensure the efficiency of the seals.

Push the storage cylinder sensor fully into its socket.
NOTE
Tighten the fixing nuts, proceeding diagonally around
the flange to apply pressure uniformly around the seal.
