INSTALLATION
2.5 REMOTE 14 CONNECTIONS
The REMOTE 14 receptacle is used to connect any of the follow-
ing equipment to the welding power source circuitry:
• Remote Hand Pendant
• Remote Foot Control
• Remote Amperage Control
• Wire Feeder (one which provides contactor control to welding
power source). Wire Feeder must be voltage sensing type.
To make connections, align keyway, insert plug, and rotate
threaded collar fully clockwise.
The following socket information is included in case the supplied
cord is not suitable, and it is necessary to wire a plug or cord to
interface with REMOTE 14 receptacle.

Socket A
Remote solid-state contactor control when contact closure is
provided between Sockets A and B.
Socket B
Remote solid-state contactor control when contact closure is
provided between Sockets A and B to energize the solid-state
contactor.
Socket C
Remote amperage reference signal (WIPER); 0 to +10 volts
(peak current set by main rheostat)
Socket D
Amperage remote control (MINIMUM); PC board common; use
as return for remote control inputs/outputs
Socket E
Amperage remote control (MAXIMUM) input command signal;
+10 volts for maximum
Socket M
Repeat function (provided between Sockets M & B).
