2.2 Rack Mounts
2.2.1 Mounting Brackets
Two types of rack-mount brackets (flanges) can be ordered for the RES-32XEL to
secure the chassis to the 19” rack: brackets with handles (see
A , Figure 2-11 ), and
brackets without handles (see B , Figure 2-11 ). The chassis contains three threaded
screw holes on each side to accommodate #10-32 size screws (included with the
bracket package).
Brackets with handles are used to pull the RES-32XEL from the rack when rack-
mount slides have been installed on the sides of the chassis (see following section).
2.2.2 Mounting Slides
The addition of rack-mount slides, one on each side of the RES-32XEL chassis, is
optional and should be ordered at the time of purchase. The chassis contains four
threaded screw holes on each side to accommodate #8-32 size screws (included with
the rack-mount slide package).
Important: Any screws used to mount a slide to a RES-32XEL chassis must not
exceed a length of 3/8” to prevent excessive penetration of the chassis.
