NOVA OPERATION 41
FLASHING SHOW CUES
Pressing the Flash key of a Show during an automatic fade instantly flashes the cue: levels over 5% over-ride other levels.
CONTINUOUS SHOW CUE PLAYBACK
You can cross-fade through hundreds of cues by splitting the lighting for an entire performance into segments over a number of
Show masters on all the pages. By recording an extra blackout cue at the start and end of each Show master you can cross-fade
from the end of one show to the start of the next, even when the new Show master is on a different page:
1
Starting with the first Show on the first page, record a number of cues, with the first cue an extra last cue as a
blackout. You can record up to thirty cues in each Show master.
2
Record cues into other Show masters for all the cues in the performance, moving to a new page as necessary.
3
Playback is simple: On Page 1, raise the first Show master (a blackout) and press [CUE GO] for opening lighting.
4
After the last cue but one of the first Show master, change page if required and raise the next Show master.
5
Pressing [CUE GO] will now step the old Show to black and cross-fade to the first live cue in the new Show.
At the same time, by recording on the same page a number of Chases and Scenes needed during the cues in the current Show,
you can make a busy performance easy to operate.
DELETING A SHOW
You can delete any Chase as for a Scene. Ensure first that the Record buffer is empty (Record LED GREEN), then:
>
Hold [RECORD] and then press the Flash key of the Show to be deleted. Wait for a long Mimic flash, then press
it again before releasing [RECORD].
The long Mimic flash after the first press of the Scenemaster Flash key is a warning that the master holds a recording. The short
Mimic flash on the second press indicates the recording has been deleted.
OVER-WRITING A SHOW
You can over-write any previously recorded Show as follows:
1
Set up a new Scene or cue of a Show using the Channel faders.
2
Press [RECORD] to record the levels.
3
Hold [RECORD], and press the Flash key of the old Show. Wait for a long Mimic flash, then press it again before
releasing [RECORD].
The long Mimic flash after the first press of the Scenemaster Flash key is a warning that the master holds a previous recording.
The short Mimic flash on the second press shows the new recording has been assigned, overwriting the old recording.
