Use a power drill and the 1/2 Phillip screws[23] that are provided to install the screws on the pre-
marked holes on the tube[1]
Tip the head roll tube[1] towards the open end (the idler end) to empty out any aluminum shavings. If
this is not done, you will hear rattling in the tube during operation.
Step 3: Bracket location
Determine the placement of the motor (left side or right side) in relation to your power supply.
Depending on whether you are doing an inside mount or a surface mount, you will need to fasten the
drop-in bracket[5] with the Machine Screw and Nylock Nut [8] to the Wall Mount Bracket(Angle
Bracket)[4] such that the slotted grove is facing up. The star bracket[14] can be fastened any way.

Note: This area should be free of all obstructions since the head roll tube[1] will be mounted here.
Attach both angle brackets[4]+[13] to the wall, with one installer at each end and ladders in place, lift
the entire assembly up into the desired location. The motor end must be inserted first.
Place the wire on the motor end downwards, so that water and ice will not funnel into the motor
.
Take the idle end[3] and insert it into the angle bracket[4], and move the bracket until it is secure in
the slotted grove.
(SEE DETAIL A and DETAIL B)
Install the lock pin for idler end[6] first to prevent the head roll assembly from falling out of the
brackets. Then install the motor end cotter pin[12] and it should be bent open after been inserted to
ensure it will not fall out.
DO NOT
proceed to next step until the both cotter pins[12]+[6] have been
inserted and bent open.
(SEE DETAIL A and DETAIL B)
Ensure that the head roll tube[1] is straight, you may notice some deflection due to the wide
distance the screen spans, this is normal.
