*If the TKS system has been operated or the panels have been moistened in the last 30 days, the purge of
the panels in Step 11 (Step 11B thru Step 11B(132)) is not required for 208B5004, 208B5005, 208B5008,
208B5009, 208B5011, 208B5016, 208B5017, and 208B5019.
NOTE: Upon delivery to the customer after the installation of this service bulletin, the TKS system in the
airplane should contain only new and not refiltered TKS fluid.
1.
Prepare the airplane for maintenance as follows:
A.
Electrically ground the airplane.
B.
Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position.
C.
Disconnect electrical power from the airplane.
(1)
Disconnect the airplane battery.
(2)
Disconnect external electrical power.
D.
Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT
CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" written on them.
