2 Getting Started
2.1 Quick Start Steps
1. Program the LaunchPad board as described in Section 2.4.1 .
2. If the BoosterPack firmware needs to be modified, program it as described in Section 2.4.2 .
3. Connect the BoosterPack to the LaunchPad as described in Section 3 .
4. Connect the LaunchPad to the PC with the help of a micro-USB to USB cable.
5. The BoosterPack is ready to use. For details about the BoosterPack Modes, see Section 5 .
2.2 DRV2625 BoosterPack Overview

All the sections of the DRV2625 BoosterPack are separated in 7 sections in the picture above. All the
functions are described in
Table 1 below:

Marker Section Name Function Description
1 Capacitive touch buttons
The DRV2625 BoosterPack features 4 capacitive touch buttons which are used to enable
or disable the features of the DRV2625 device. The buttons functions are described in
Section 4 .
2 MSP430FR2512 Microcontroller used as interface between the touch buttons and the DRV2625.
3 DRV2625 Haptics driver that controls the LRA load.
4 Programming pins
In case the demo firmware needs to be modified. The DRV2625 BoosterPack features 4
programming pins that can be used with the MSP430 CapTIvate MCU Programmer (not
included).
