Preparation of the motor:
The machine is supplied from the manufacturer without oil.
Before the motor is started the first time, oil (1) must be added
(approx. 0.60 litre). Do not overfill with oil. The oil type to be
used is stated in the instructions for the motor which
accompanies the machine. The oil level should be checked daily
to ensure that there is always sufficiently oil in the motor (2).
Fill fuel (3) onto the motor before it is started. Always use clean,
fresh, standard lead-free gasoline with octane 92 or higher.
NEVER use gasoline mixed with oil!
If the motor runs dry while working, or if it is stopped for fuel, it
must cool for at least 2 minutes before refuelling. Always clean
the area around the filling nozzle before it is dismantled for
filling.
Fastening of trimmer line:
The trimmer head of the machine is normally a bent steel plate. Cut
the trimmer line in lengths of 45 cm and make a knot on the middle
of the line. Now mount the trimmer line on the trimmer head from
within, through the two holes on the head.
The machine trimmer head is designed for two cutting heights. If
the trimmer line is placed on top of the trimmer head, the cutting
height is 65 mm (1), and if it is placed below the trimmer head, the
cutting height is 45 mm (2).
Two sets of lines shall always be mounted vis-à-vis each other in
the trimmer head when the machine operates.
Starting:
Start the machine in the following way:
Set the throttle control choke.
Pull the starting rope slowly until you feel
resistance, then pull the rope firmly to overcome
the compression and start the motor.
Stoppi
Stop the motor by pulling the throttle control to STOP .
Check the operation:
While the motor is running, check the trimmer head braking and
operating functions. Do this by pulling the connection lever of
the handlebar slowly towards the handlebar. This starts the
trimmer head. When you let go of the lever again, the trimmer
head will stop.
