Your new CD receiver can read USB sticks of types USB
1 .0 and 2 .0 and can play music files in MP3 format
stored on them .
USB stands for "Universal Serial Bus" . All modern com-
puters have a USB port for connecting a keyboard and
mouse . USB sticks were originally developed to replace
computer disks and provide an easy method of transport-
ing data . These practical sticks are now also used in
digital cameras and music players .
Handling mobile storage media
USB sticks are sensitive electronic devices and must
be handled with proper care . When you are not using
your stick, you should always put on the cap or cover to
protect it .
Important
Never use a stick which has suffered mechani-
cal damage or which has fallen into liquid .
Never expose sticks to direct strong sunlight .
Careless handling can lead to data loss! Wherever
possible, make backup copies of your music on your
PC .
