from the object to be measured, atmospheric correction increases
measurement accuracy, see

When auto-scaling is activated, the colour scale is continuously
adjusted to the min.-/max.- values of the current measurement
image. This means that the colour assigned to a specific
temperature is changing constantly! To be able to compare multiple
images based on the assigned colour, scaling must be set
