G-TECH can include all those losses in horsepower calculation, and give you the total horsepower for your engine,
sometimes referred to as indicated or gross horsepower (theoretical capability of the engine). To do that, G-TECH needs
to know you vehicle’s frontal area, coefficient of drag and percents of power lost in drive train.
Even if you don’t know the exact values of these parameters for you car, you can still get valuable results. For example,
your total horsepower might not be exactly the same as factory number, but you can still see the difference before and
after the modifications you made on your vehicle. Also, you can always use the net horsepower as your benchmark, since
this is the actual power used to move your vehicle.
To change HP Losses settings,
