Insulation Resistance Testing
To conduct an Insulation Resistance Test on the safety circuits
The purpose of this test is to Megger the main controller board between L and E and N and
E, all cores of the trailing cables, and all safe edge wiring and safety circuit wires on the
carriage sides.
PRELIMINARY ACTIONS.
1) Switch off mains supply.
2) Turn carriage key to off position.
3) Remove sling cover and disconnect the LED connection.
IN THE POWER PACK UNIT
4) Disconnect the mains lead at TB8 of the top controller board and Megger test using
the 250V range at TB8 on the board between L and E and between N and E pins.
AT THE TRAILING CABLES
5) In the power pack, remove the three way male connector from the power pack
interface relay.
Remove the connector from the CE1651 voltage converter board.
Disconnect the trailing cables connected from the main controller board TB5
Disconnect the connector on sling board TB2 and wiring to connector 3 pins 7 & 8 (BL
& G), and Megger test between all wires within each 7core cable.
