To change the IP Address (e.g. 172.16.100.100) of the encoder, to which you would like to
send your microphone audio signals, open the attached Webpage (audio_test.html or
index.html) in a text editor.
The audio signals from the microphone that is connected to your PC will be sent and output
on the ENC-100 on the analog audio output.
In order to talk back to the encoder, please be sure that you have a microphone or another
audio signal connected to your PC.
Please check if it is working correctly and see if the microphone level adjustment is correct
adjusted under
CONTROL PANEL
>
SOUND SETTINGS
. Be sure that the
MIC
levels are set accordingly
and that the option for turning the
MIC OFF
is not checked.
If your regular PC speaker volume settings are OK, then you should be able to hear yourself,
when you talk into the microphone. Please be aware that if your regular volume setting is too
high, you might experience extremely loud high-pitched feedback signals and disturbing
echoes. So it is a good idea to start with a low volume level for the regular PC volume setting.
If you are sure that your microphone and microphone input is working, simply press the
S
TART
button on the example HTML-Page. If you have active speakers connected to the
ENC-100 audio output, then your microphone signals will be output there.
The ENC-100 has a stereo mini jack, but it provides the same signal (mono) on both
(left/right) channels.
Furthermore the sampling frequency of the audioplugin.ocx for talkback to the ENC-100 is
22,050Hz, which is half CD-quality and therefore less appropriate to stream music.
