Network Discovery
Click on Tools > Network Discovery
Type in the IP address of your subnet with a zero as last number of the IP address (e.g.
192.168.90.0) and press “Start”. The MIB Browser starts to scan the LAN for encoders or
other SNMP devices that can be controlled by a SNMP manager.
The following list shows an example of the available devices. In this case the ENC-100
sysDescr: The Name of the network device: e.g. Teracue ENC-100
sysObjectID: This shows the explicit MIB ID of the device.
sysUpTime: This shows the uptime to the device in seconds multiplied by hundred
sysUpTime = 27780500
-> 27780500 / 100 = 277805 seconds = 3 days 5 hours 10 minutes 5 seconds
sysContact: The name of the contact person/administrator who is responsible for this device
sysName: The FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) or the hostname of the device
sysLocation: The location of the SNMP-device in the network
