8400D MM312 (4–96)

DEMISTER AND COVER SEALS

The demister seals are mounted on the underside
of the demister cover. The cover seals are located
on the sides of machine where the covers make
contact with the machine.

Check the seals for wear or damage every
100 hours of operation

BRAKES AND TIRES

SERVICE BRAKES

The mechanical service brakes are located on the
front wheels. The brakes are operated by the foot
brake pedal and connecting cables.

Check the brake adjustment every 200 hours of
operation.

PARKING BRAKE

The parking brake is set with the parking brake
lever that locks the brake pedal.

TIRES

The machine tires are solid. Check the tires every
100 hours of operation for damage.

REAR WHEEL

Torque the rear wheel nuts in a star pattern to 142
to 156 Nm (105 to 115 ft lb) after the first 50-hours
of operation, and every 800 hours there after.
