BELTS AND CHAINS

SWEEPING MAIN BRUSH DRIVE BELT

The main brush belt is automatically tensioned by
a spring loaded idler. The belt should be checked
after every 50 hours of operation for wear.

WARNING: Moving belt and fan. Keep
away.

SWEEPING VACUUM FAN BELT

The sweeping vacuum fan brush belt is located
underneath the hopper. The deflection should be
3 to 7mm (0.125 to 0.25 in) when a force of 2.3 kg
(5 lb) is applied at the belt midpoint. The belt
should be checked after every 50 hours of
operation for wear.

WARNING: Raised hopper may fall.
Engage hopper support bar.

WARNING: Moving belt and fan. Keep

STEERING GEAR CHAINS

The steering gear chains tension should be
checked after the first 50 hours of operation and
every 500 hours thereafter. The deflection of the
chains should be 3 to 6 mm (0.12 to 0.25 in) when
the steering wheel is turned as far as it will go in
either direction.
