LAM Level Field
The
LAM
Level
field identifies the threshold, in dB, at which the radio/line un-mutes and sends RX packets to the Ethernet.
The range for this field is
-50 to +10dB.
LAM Time Field
The
LAM
Time field identifies the amount of time, in seconds, the LAM level can drop below the threshold without action
from the IP-223. It allows small gaps in the audio sequence.
The range for this field is
0 to 60 sec
.
The
Monitor Relay
field provides the IP-223 the ability to decode a valid Ethernet packet and provide a relay-contact output
to turn off the sub-audible-tone-decoder circuit in the radio receiver. This allows the console operator to monitor the line for
other users before transmission (required by FCC regulations on stations equipped with CTCSS). Select one of the following
operating modes for the monitor relay:
