Example 4: dB Measurement
As a common measuring unit, dB has been widely used in electrical engineering,
radio science, mechanics, shock and vibration, mechanical power and acoustics
areas. The following will introduce you on how to measure dB between two
circuits.
Operating Steps:
Method 1:

Method 2:
1. Press on the front panel to select the AC Voltage measurement
function and choose a proper voltage range.
2. Connect the red lead to the terminal Input-HI and the black lead to the
terminal Input-LO as Diagram 2-9 on page 27.
3. Measure dBm

according to Example 3.
4. Press → [ dB/dBm ] to turn on the dB function and set the parameters
for the dB Ref Value (dBm2). At this time, the reading shown on the screen
is the power difference between two circuits.
