Installing the Battery System
To install the batteries:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover. Note there is a lanyard attached to the battery cover and
the O-Ring on the battery cover. Do NOT place the cover where it is in contact with dirt.
2. Load the three NiMH battery packs in the Q/Z-1250 hull with the leads facing toward the elec-
tronics box.
3. Connect all three power leads to the electronics box as shown. Insure polarity is correct (red to
red, black to black).
4. Inspect the battery cover O-Ring. Verify it is clean and no dirt is present. Clean the O-Ring mating
surface on the battery compartment with a lint free wipe.
5. Install the battery compartment cover and evenly tighten all six screws. Make sure the lanyard
and battery leads are not pinched by the cover when installed.
