4.5.4 Problem Responses

The fraction collector will respond with a

PROBLEM=<type>

message should the command fail. The following types may be
reported.

IMPROPER MODE

The program values cannot be changed

while a run is in progress.

Note

RUN and STOP cannot be executed while in manual control.

INVALID COMMAND

One of three situations could cause

this response:

• An unknown command has been entered, usually a

typographical error.

• An operand has been sent for a command that does not

require one.

• An operand is missing for a command that requires one.

INVALID OPERAND

The operand value is out of range or

unsupported.

LOCAL MODE

The unit must be in the remote mode to do

anything other than read values.
