Section 4 Operation

RST/BLN Screen

When RST is selected from the menu screen, it will display “RST
Baseline” for 5 seconds. Pushing

MENU

|

POWER

key during this

period will reset the ELS Detection signal to about 20mV. [Using
the

AUTOZERO

key can also reset the baseline.] After 5 seconds,

the display changes to BLN and displays the voltage offset by the
autozero function. This value is important to note for each set of
operating conditions. If the value is high, greater than 500mV,
the mobile phase is not being evaporated completely and the
temperature set points should be modified. Other contaminates
in the system can also affect this reading.

• [Full Scale Page] Changes Full Scale
