4.1 Introduction
Once the analyzer has been installed, it can be configured for your
application. To do this you will:
Establish and start an automatic calibration cycle, if desired.
(Electrically operated valves required.)
Define the three user selectable analysis ranges. Then choose
auto-ranging or select a fixed range of analysis, as required.
Calibrate the instrument.
Set alarm setpoints, and modes of alarm operation (latching,
failsafe, etc).
Establish a security password, if desired, requiring Operator to
log in.
Before you configure your 3020T these default values are in effect:
Ranges:
LO = 0-100 ppm, MED = 0-1,000 ppm, HI =
0-10,000 ppm.
Auto Ranging:
ON
Alarm Relays:
Defeated, 1000 ppm, HI, Not failsafe, Not
latching.
Zero:
Auto, every 0 days at 0 hours.
Span:
Auto, at 209,000 ppm, every 0 days at 0 hours.

4.2 Using the Controls
To get the proper response from these controls, turn the control
toward the desired action (ESCAPE or ENTER—DOWN or UP), and
then release it. Turn-and-release once for each action. For example, turn-
and-release twice toward UP to move the VFD screen two selections
upwards on the list of options (menu).
