TLA 714 Color Portable Mainframe Service Manual

Remove Flat Panel Display Assembly

You will need a screwdriver with a size T-15 Torx

tip to perform this procedure.

Use the following procedure to remove the flat panel display assembly:

1. Remove the five screws that attach the flat panel display assembly to the

mainframe: two screws at the bottom of the assembly on the front of the
instrument, two screws on the top, and one screw on the left side. (See
Figure 4–24).

2. Lift the bottom edge of the flat panel display assembly and rotate it upward

and off the front face of the mainframe.

3. Detach the cable connecting the flat panel display assembly to connector

J209 on the front panel interface board.
