Enter the following GPIB commands, if necessary install a new instrument’s

serial number:

SYST:PROT OFF

SYST:PROP:MAI:SER <serial number string>, e.g. “B010100”

These commands take effect immediately and can be verified by viewing the

mainframe properties: Utilities>System Properties.
