To reduce the risk of drift

•

Undertake spraying early in the morning or late in the evening (there is usually less wind

at these times of day)

• use anti-drift nozzles.

•

Maintain an exact boom height: the risk of drift reduces as the line of nozzles approaches

the target being treated.

•

Reduce the speed of forward movement (less than 8 km/hour – 5 mph).

• Respect the recommended spraying distances for each phytosanitary product.

► When wind speed exceeds 3 metres/sec, take additional measures to reduce drift.

Do not spray if wind speed exceeds 5 metres / sec!
