7.22. DISASSEMBLING THE RUNNING DECK GROUP
In order to carry out these operations, it is necessary to slacken the tread-belt tension. If
the belt is to be used again, follow the instructions given in paragraph: 8.1.2.
“Tensioning a used tread belt”.
7.22.1. D
ISASSEMBLING THE FOOTREST

1. Back off the screw (a) using a 3mm
hexagonal wrench.

Back off the 2 screws (b) using a 3mm
hexagonal wrench.

Remove the rear cover by pulling it toward
the back.

On both side of the equipment:

Back off the screw (c) using a 5mm
hexagonal wrench.
5.
Remove the footboard stop (d) .
6.
Remove the footboard (e) by pulling it
toward the back.
7.
Loosen the belt tension by backing off the 2
screws
(f) , which act on the rear machine
roller, using an 8mm hexagonal wrench.
CAUTION:
Loosen the screws acting by
turns on both the sides of the machine so
that the rear roller is always parallel to
the front one and to avoid damaging the
roller bearings.
To reassemble the components removed, carry
out the above steps in reverse order.
