7.6. DISMANTLING SECONDARY SHAFT (LEGS MOVEMENT)
– BRAKE ASSEMBLY, FLYWHEEL AND BELT TENSIONER

1.
Disconnect the fastons from the brake winding.
2. Remove the brake assembly (2 screws 4mm hex wrench).
3. Remove the pulley locking nut on the secondary shaft (17mm
8mm hex wrench).
NOTE: during the reassembly phase tighten using a torque
spanner set to 40Nm/29.5 Lbf.ft.
4. Remove the pulley on the secondary shaft (17mm 8mm hex
wrench).
ATTENTION: The smaller pulley on the secondary shaft has a
LEFT screw thread and has to be unscrewed CLOCK WISE.
NOTE: during the reassembly phase tighten using a torque
spanner set to 60Nm/44 Lbf.ft.
5. Release the weight from the left platform.
6. Remove the flywheel/secondary shaft assembly.
Dismantling the belt tensioner
1. Remove the snap ring and the relevant washers.
2. Remove the belt tensioner.
3. If necessary, remove the belt tensioner support pin (8mm hex
wrench).
NOTE: during the reassembly phase tighten using a torque
spanner set to 22Nm/16 Lbf.ft applying some loctite.
