For connection to the chimney, a sheet-steel flue pipe with a thickness of 2 mm must be used.
The flue pipe must be firmly and tightly connected to both the flue gas spout and the chimney.
This firm and airtight connection is also absolutely mandatory for the flue pipe elements. You
absolutely must make sure that the flue pipe does not protrude into the free cross-section of
the chimney. The use of a wall lining is recommended for insertion into the chimney.
In case of longer exhaust gas pipes, horizontal distances and narrow spaces must be avoided;
we recommend pipework that rises towards the chimney. In case the flue is too short, we rec-
ommend that the stove be connected by a vertical pipe piece with a minimum length of 1 m.
Fundamentally, the legal regulations must be observed for the connection of flue pipes. In case
of connection to the chimney via the upper flue pipe connector, for example, a distance of 40
cm from the flue pipe to flammable components must be observed. This minimum distance
can be reduced to 10 cm if the flue pipe has a sheathing of non-flammable insulation with a
minimum thickness of 2 cm.
The proper connection of the flue pipes must in any case be inspected by the local master
chimney sweep.
Safety distances (minimum thicknesses):
During the installation of the stove, the legally required fire protection regulations must funda-
mentally be observed. In this regard, please consult your local master chimney sweep.
The minimum distance from flammable or temperature-sensitive materials (e.g., furniture, wall-
paper, wood panelling) or from load-bearing walls must be observed as follows.
The corresponding distances for your model can be found in the included data sheet, which is
part of these operating instructions.
In case of flammable or temperature-sensitive flooring, the appliance must be placed on a non-
flammable floor protection plate (e.g., sheet steel, glass). Your dealer will have floor protection
plates (support plates) in its accessory programme. If required, you can order one from your
stove dealer.
The minimum dimensions/safety distances can be found in the data sheets and test reports.
Foreword:
When coal products are used, the heat output of this stove can be controlled using the auto-
matic power function. This possibility for control requires the correct adjustment of several air
controllers so that your stove works in an economical and environmentally friendly manner.
Incorrect adjustments of the controllers not only lead to the heat output or burning duration no
longer meeting your expectations, but also to damage to the oven.
If you observe the following operating instructions, however, you will enjoy your new stove
without a problem for a long time to come.
The controller positions were determined under laboratory conditions; i.e., depending on your
complete system including the chimney and quality of fuel used, it might be helpful for you to
determine the optimum position of the controllers or your special system yourself. The instruc-
tions will indicate which controller positions absolutely must not be used.
