This stove is equipped with an automatic power controller that regulates the
primary air
required for the combustion of hard coal and lignite. This controller is infinitely variable in such
a way that values can be set between the marked numbers.
In addition, primary air is permanently supplied by the primary air controller on the ash box
(controller 3).
• Regulated slow combustion operation is possible only with coal.
– After commissioning the stove, first set the rotary power controller (controller 2) to a middle
position in the automatic range.
If the heat output is too high or too low, this problem can be corrected by changing the position
of the controller. The temperature you find pleasant is then kept almost constant by the auto-
matic function for the entire operating time of the stove. The primary air controller (controller 3)
only has to be adjusted if the atmospheric conditions change decisively, thus requiring a
change in the stove output. The maximum fuel amount that can be fed at one time amounts to
2 kg in the case of hard coal.
The so-called
secondary air
is supplied to the combustion chamber above the disc through
the rotary power controller (controller 2) and provides for an afterburning of the hot gases. In
addition, an excessive depositing of soot on the sightglass is prevented by the secondary air
(so-called sightglass purging).
The afterburning of the secondary air essentially takes place through the flame and thus during
operation with split wood.
Commissioning of your stove
Before commissioning, any stickers must be removed and all accessory parts must be
removed from the ash box or combustion chamber; this also applies to any transport safety
devices. In the case of models with draught deflection plates made of ceramic fibre or vermic-
ulite, check whether these plates are lying in their anchorings (the anchorings may have slipped
out of position due to the transport or installation of the stove. Otherwise, you must carefully
put these plates into place (see the data sheet).
In the case of stoves with ceramic tiles or stones, they must be laid in the heating compart-
ment. The ceramic tiles or stones should be wiped with a dry cloth.
First heating
– For the first heating, use thin, dry wood and start with a moderate fire. To light it, do not use
spirit, petrol, or other liquid fuels.
– Familiarise yourself with the combustion regulation of your stove. Our stoves are coated
with paint that is resistant to high heat. A brief smell due to the drying of the pain cannot be
avoided and is not toxic for people.
– During the first heating, the installation space o the product should be well-ventilated.

proper operation of the stove and damage to the stove!!!

During the first heating of the slow combustion stove, do not place objects in the stove.
Damage may occur due to contact with the unhardened coating. For this reason, you
slow combustion stove should be operated only at a low flame for a few hours.
