5 Installation
5.1
Packaging Labels

The packaging material can be recycled. Do not dispose of

This side up
Ensure that the package is transported and stored with the
top side, indicated by the arrows, uppermost. Do not topple
over.
Keep dry
Ensure that the package does not get wet during transport
and storage.
Fragile
Handle the package with care. There are fragile goods inside.
Keep away from
sunlight
Ensure that the package will not be exposed to heat during
transport and storage. Protect against strong sunlight.
Do not stack
Do not stack packages. The package is not designed to carry
extra weight.
Two person lift
Two people are needed to lift the package and unpack
5.2
Unpacking
The MagicPrep NGS instrument has been designed to be operator installable.
The MagicPrep NGS instrument weighs 18.8 kg and should be lifted by two people
On receipt of the shipping package, cut the black or white plastic straps securing the
MagicPrep NGS shipping package to the wooden palette.
Using 2 people at each end of the package, lift the shipping package onto the laboratory
bench or similar.
Inspect the shipping package for any severe damage such as rips, tears, holes etc. If in any
doubt as to the nature of the damage, contact Customer Support. Lightly deformed edges,
scuff marks etc., are considered normal wear and tear through the shipping/transport process.
Remove any protective shrink wrap from around the packaging (if used) and cut the black or
white plastic packaging strips and remove and dispose.
Remove the top brown cardboard tray and place to one side.
