3. If the tool is not required, keep it in a clean and dry place.
8.2 Periodic Inspection
The stripping hand tool should be inspected at regular intervals.
1. Remove any remains that could affect the working of the hand tool.
2. Make sure the bearing studs are inserted and held in position by the lock washers.
3. Close the tool handles fully and allow them to open freely. If the tool handles do not open quickly and
completely, the tool head spring is damaged and must be replaced.
4. The bearing studs must be regularly lubricated with a light machine oil and protected against
contamination.
9 Spare and Wear Parts
The following table lists the spare parts for the stripping hand tool.

The tension springs should preferably be replaced by the TE Connectivity customer service department.
