5 Stripping Procedure

1. Choose the appropriate cross-section for the wire.
2. Insert the wire and push it against the wire edge guide (see Figure 3).
3. Close the hand tool. Blades 5…8 move towards the wire to be stripped, the insulation is cut and
stripped (see Figure 3).
4. Open the hand tool and remove the wire.
5. Remove any stripping remains with a tool such as a small screwdriver.
6 Replacing the Blades

1. Undo the Allen head screws (see Figure 5).
2. Undo the headless screw (see Figure 5).
3. Close the hand tool and remove the wire centring aids 11, 12 and blades 5…8 (always replace the
entire blade block)
4. Fit new blades 5…8 on the locking pins of the blade receptacle 1…4 (worn side facing inwards) (see
Figure 6), fit wire centring aids 11 and 12.
5. Secure the tool with the Allen head screw.
6. Fit the headless screw.
