8. E-STOP and RESET
If there is a situation in which an emergency stop is required, the E-stop button on the front-left side of
the machine should be pressed. To return the machine to the standard operation, twist the red knob in
the direction of the posted arrows and press the reset switch.

MAINTENANCE
Daily
Cleaning
All surfaces should be kept clean and free of dust buildup. Wipe down all exposed flat surfaces with a
soft rag or vacuum dirt/debris from the machine. In addition, perform the following:
a. Front Linear Actuator
Remove accumulated debris with soft brush and vacuum.
b. Parallel Acting Cylinder
Remove accumulated debris with soft brush and vacuum.
Scrap Bin
Be sure to periodically examine the Scrap Bin. If the bin is full or scrap is not being removed from the
work area, address this by removing the cover on the bin and emptying the scrap.
DANGER
ALWAYS wear eye protection when removing the cover on the scrap bin or emptying and ALWAYS wear the proper
PPE when removing any loose debris.
Contour Blades
Inspect Contour Blades for nicks, gouges, burrs, etc. - blades will need to be changed between
different cable types and also after a certain amount of usage.
DANGER
The Contour Blades are extremely sharp and should be handled with caution.
NOTE
For Contour Blade removal and replacement, refer to Section 5.3.A.3.
Cutting Wheels
Inspect Cutting Wheels for nicks, gouges, burrs, etc. Wheels will NOT need to be changed between
different cable types, only after a significant amount of usage.
DANGER
The Cutting Wheels are sharp and should be handled with caution.
NOTE
For Cutting Wheel removal and replacement, refer to Section 5.3.A.4.
Mandrel
Inspect the Mandrel for nicks, gouges, burrs, etc. The mandrel will need to be changed between
different cable types and also after changes in the mandrel affect the quality of the braid cut. The
mandrel is considered a recommended spare part (see Figure 24 for mandrel part numbers).
DANGER
The end of the Mandrel is sharp and should be handled with caution.
NOTE
For Mandrel removal and replacement, refer to Section 5.3.A.5.
