Maintenance and Lubrication Plan
To guarantee a long operation life and an optimal usage the maintenance and lubrication
intervals must be strictly observed. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damages which
may a result caused by disregard of the maintenance and lubrication intervals.
It is absolutely essential that machine and equipment parts on which maintenance or service
jobs have to be carried out are disconnected from the electricity supply, unless anything to the
contrary is stated in the operation instruction. The disconnected parts must first be checked to
ensure that they no longer carry any current; then they must be earthed and short-circuited.
Adjacent parts carrying current must be insulated.
The electrical equipment of the machine must be checked regularly, faults such as loose
connections or scorched cables must be removed immediately.
DANGER
+
Before starting maintenance, disassembly/assembly or repair work, the machine must be
disconnected from power supply. Touching live parts can cause danger of electrocution
with fatal consequences!
DANGER
+
Due to the risk of hand or finger injury, never try to reach into the machine before having
assured that the machine is disconnected from the power supply.
+
Disconnect the machine from the power supply by operating the main switch and pull out
the power plug, before mounting or changing the safety guard, die adapter and die set!
CAUTION
+
The exchange and maintenance intervals must be strictly adhered to!
+
Maintenance work may be performed only by authorized and properly trained personnel.
The housing and the covers in particular may only be removed by specially trained
personnel.
+
Only one person is allowed to work on or with the machine at a time.
+
Do not operate the hydraulic Crimp Machine AT-65 until you have studied and fully
understood all the instructions described in this operating instruction.
+
Wear protective gloves and safety glasses during lubrication work. Clean the areas of skin
exposed to lubrication grease with water and soap. Change your clothes affected by
hydraulic oil. Please pay attention to the safety instructions in the “safety data sheet” of the
hydraulic oil and the hydraulic fluid.
+
When working with the hydraulic Crimp Machine AT-65, do not wear loose clothing, jewelry
or long, loose hair that can get caught in the hydraulic Crimp Machine
AT-65.
+
Assure free access to the operating elements of the machine, especially the foot switch as
well as the emergency stop and release buttons. In the case of imminent danger
immediately press the release button. The release button must be within the direct reach
of the operator. It must not be covered.
+
In cases of a machine malfunction, production must be stopped and the malfunction must
be fixed before continuing work with the machine.
+
Work with caution.
Regular maintenance and cleaning of the parts which can be reached without opening the
machine will prolong the life of the machine. Do not use fibrous materials to clean the machine
such as cotton waste. The machine and or machine part should not be cleaned with
compressed air. The crimping machine as well as the machine parts must not be cleaned with
hard objects like scrapers, steel wool or similar.
Vacuum heavily soiled parts and wear.
