The po wer management feature of the LCD monitor enables
the mo nito r to recognize Energy Star

video adapter and
power down to less than 8 watts of power consumption. An
E nergy Star

co mp atible vid eo adap ter achieves the
signaling b y setting ho rizo ntal, o r vertical, o r b o th
synchronizatio n signals to inactive. T he LCD mo nito r
recognizes all two typ es o f signals and enters into the
appropriate mode. In Active Off mode, the LCD monitor still
maintains a detection and is always read y for fast reco very
when both synchronization signals are active again.

LED Indicator (Power Management Active)
T he p ower management feature of the LCD mo nitor is
comprised of two stages: On (green) and Active Off (amber).
In the Active Off mod e, the high vo ltage functio n of the
monito r shuts down while the low power d etection circuitry
remains active. This circuit allows the monitor to “wake up”
when the mouse is mo ved or a key o n the keyb oard is
pressed.
